Waiting for Doggo by Mark B. Mills

Dan and Clara had a four year relationship behind them when Clara walked out on Dan. She left behind Doggo, a misfit dog rescued only a few weeks earlier that Dan is not too keen on. Dan and Doggo are more alike than they first think.

The book explores Dans relationships with his dog as he gets his life up and running again after the break up. It turns out they have both lost someone they love and need to move on in life. It’s a really easy to read book full of humour and a little romance. The writing flows well and it’s easy to read in a weekend.

Doggo is such a likeable character and seems to be the perfect companion for Dan. He’s an ugly dog that many people find odd to begin with but his endearing character soon shines through.
