The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion

Don Tillman is a scientist through and through. Everything he does is measured, calculated and precise. He isn’t particularly successful with relationships as a result and so decides to set up The Wife Project. A questionnaire is compiled to evaluate applicants as potential wife material for Don. Only the best will do; they must fit some very stringent requirements to even be considered for a date. One day Rosie appears at his door. She is completely not Wife material – she smokes, is disorganised and nothing like Don at all.

It’s safe to say this book delivers everything it promises. It’s an easy read with moments that make you laugh and others that are touching. The characters are likeable and you can easily relate to their feelings. A light-hearted rom com that will be great when it is made into a film (it’s currently in development). It’s not my normal style of book but a great change after a couple of heavy reads.
